Walking (or biking) from day to day and seeing where you end up as you go along is, in our view, “the spirit of the way”. However, especially for people who start their Camino in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and have to travel a long way, it can be important to make reservations. Moreover, especially during the high season it is very common to make reservations along the pilgrim road from Le Puy (GR 65). This is why we also offer this possibility. However, every day we keep a few "walk-in places" open for pilgrims who do not make reservations or who are already on the pilgrim's way towards Saint-Jean.
We regard our hostel as a meeting place for pilgrims. For the reservations this means as follows:
- we give precedence to pilgrims who like to share the common evening meal, which is served at 19.30-19.45 pm. (If you prefer not to participate or if you will arrive too late: please book in one of the hostels where no meals are offered),
- we do not take reservations from groups of more then 6 people,
- we do not take reservations from people who walk or cycle with a support vehicle,
- you can make a reservation for “a bed”, but not for a specific place or room. We divide the beds day-by-day and try to do so as well as possible.
Especially for reasons of hygiene, dogs are not allowed to stay the night with us. Dogs are also not welcome either in most of the “albergues” in Spain.
Please also read our "house rules" > alongside.
You can make a reservation by filling in a request > alongside. It is not necessary to pay in advance, but please inform us promptly when your plans change.
If you want to make a reservation once on your pilgrim's way, you can also call us: +33 (0)5 59 37 24 68.
We welcome you to arrive at Beilari from 2:30pm - 7:30pm (the time of the evening meal). On Wednesdays and Fridays we open at 15:30. If you should arrive before the opening time we suggest you enjoy the village of St Jean Pied de Port until that time.
