1. on foot
By the Chemin de Saint-Jacques (GR 65): the run-up routes from Paris, Vézelay and Le Puy-en-Velay come together in Ostabat and then lead to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. Halfway, in Bussunarits, the Voie du Piémont (from Lourdes) also joins the GR 65.
Once in Saint-Jean, you go through the Porte de Saint-Jacques, which leads into the Rue de la Citadelle. Our hostel (number 40) is on the left, opposite the pilgrim’s office of the Amis de Saint-Jacques.
By the GR 10: our hostel is also located directly on this GR.
2. by car
There is a parking place in the Chemin de Saint-Jacques, just before Porte de Saint-Jacques, at the end of the Rue de la Citadelle. From there you walk down towards the pilgrim’s office and our hostel.
Attention: during the tourist season it is not allowed to drive inside the walled town. In any case, you will have to park your car outside the city walls.

3. by train
From Bayonne (stop for the TGV Paris - Hendaye / Spain and for several international buslines) a train leaves to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port 3 or 4 times a day (and back). The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Please note that outside of the summer season and on Sundays and public holidays there are fewer trains.
